At first we know work is constant

24 men or 32 women can do the same work in 172 days.

According to Question

24 male work=32 women work

Work=Efficiency×Time

24M×172=32W×172

Where M-Efficiency of Male and

W-Efficiency of Women and 172-Time,

=>M/W=32/24=4/3

Here efficiency of men=4 and efficiency of women=3,

Here total Work =24×4×172=16512

1 man can do in a day =4

42 men can do in a day=42×4=168

And

1 woman can do in a day=3

30 women can do in a day =30×3=90

And 42 men and 30 women together can do in a day 168+ 90=258

We know Time =Work/Efficiency

=>TIME=16512/258

=64 days

42 men and 30 women can do the same work in 64 days.
